Ah yes, the living is easy now. The houseplants are outside for the summer growing in leaps and bounds and multiplying. But what will happen come fall when all these plants must be brought back inside to brighten up our winters?
I ran across a clever idea on Inhabitat, where entire walls were made of iron grates which you could drop plants into. All that is needed are catch buckets at the bottom to catch the water. I might need one of these for my orchids come fall.
A do it yourself version is to hang a heavy duty curtain rod across a window and hang several plants from it. If you use different hanger lengths you can squeeze several rows of plants onto one rod. I’m planning on using that method when the weather cools down.
