Flame violet ( Episcia ‘Cleopatra’ )

Thanks for the wonderful photo!

These plants love fluorescent lights so they are great office plants or plants to stick in a dark corner under a lamp. They want lots of light but not direct sunlight.

They can be grown as hanging plants. Keep them away from windows and doors in cold climates they do not like to get cold.

Soil should be kept moist and they prefer high humidity. Leaves curl, brown then drop if the air is too dry.

Flowers are bright red, hence the name flame violet. Pinch off some of the stolons for better flowering.

Keep water off the leaves or they will spot, like an African Violet does with cold water.
