Some of the prettiest plant displays I’ve seen take several flowering plants with long stems and group them into one shallow pot.
This works best with plants like Phalaenopsis and Paphiopedilum or Bromeliads. These plants have lots of low leaves and flowers on long stems. I’ve seen them planted this way in large shallow pots a foot to foot and a half across. The pot is then placed on a stand or a table.
It’s also a great way to keep dozens of pots from taking over the house. Grouping them in one pot will take up less space.
